Our products are one-of-a-kind, made of hand-cut stained glass panels welded together with copper foil to create unique designs. Each piece of stained glass is hand-cut, edge-ground, wrapped with a fine copper foil, and then soldered together with the other pieces of glass. Due to the nature of stained glass, each piece of glass in your shade will vary in color and texture. This is part of the appeal of Tiffany-style lamps - each one is unique, a one-of-a-kind piece of art to be treasured for a lifetime. Shade colors will appear darker and less vibrant when not illuminated.

Prior to use, upon removing your lamp from its packaging, you may find a coat of oil on the shade (oil is used in the final stage of production to protect the soldering). Please use a soft dry cloth to remove any excess oil. Do not use chemical cleaners, as they may harm the finish of the soldering. To clean the shade, remove dust with either a paper towel or a duster - no household cleaners are needed. Occasionally, a white powder may appear on the soldering as a result of oxidation. To restore the soldering to its original condition, apply a small amount of Mineral Oil to the affected area, then remove the oil with a paper towel.
